Neslihan, a young woman scarred by a fire that disfigured her body, reluctantly returns to university, consumed by fear of facing Erim, her childhood love who has just returned from London after two years away. She immediately bonds with Hülya, a student from a modest background whose mother is rushed to hospital and who must confront mounting family debts. A complicated connection forms between the two girls, while Neslihan dreads Erim’s reaction to her secret. Tension builds around a crucial meeting that Neslihan, paralysed by shame, initially refuses to attend before Hülya pushes her to go.
